Tranquility

During my life as a young boy around the age of 12 . I would often talk long walks with some of my friends . We would walk the railroad track where the coal trains would take the coal to the steam station to burn to make power .
One day we came across a bank that had a rock formation . In that formation we found Quartz rock of such beauty . and different colors . For all we knew there could have been Rubies in there . That was some fun times for me .
Sometimes i would go down to a creek and just sit on he bank and listen to the water run over the rocks . Ever once in a while you could hear a frog croak with in the cat tail plants.
At times i would go over in the woods by myself and sit against the trees . Some time there would be total silence . Then Mister squirrel start chirping at you . Or a wood pecker pecking on a tree . Ever now and again you could spot a Hoot Owl perched on a tree limb .
Back in those days i never thought about God . Now as i look back to those wonderful days . I can see the beauty and appreciate what God has provided for us . Too be able to enjoy the peacefulness He has given us . Too be able and look around and listen to the sounds of nature . The sounds of rain dropping on a tin roof .
This day and time .So many people never slow down and just listen and see whats around them . I am so thankful i had the chance to grow up and be able to roam around the land around us . To come to a barbwire fence and have to crawl under it. We never got run off by a land owner (now a days you would). Only time i got runoff was when i was fishing on a neighbors pond without permission . He started shooting at us with his shotgun . Sure didn't take long to get back across his fence.

Today God and the Love of Jesus Christ is most important thing i cherish . My friends has to be number two .

I hope you enjoyed a little of most important part of life .
